Independent sourcing service. ForgeSource Sourcing is not pac van and is not affiliated with pac van. ForgeSource Sourcing does not claim authorized dealer status.
A search for pac van containers for sale often starts from a yard photo or a rental listing. The purchase file still needs the project use, the site constraints, and the delivery stage before any alternative is treated as a fit.
Compare finish level against the transport envelope and the crane.
Compare packing efficiency against site assembly and weather exposure.
Compare collapsed shipping size against the unfolded connection details.
Compare clear span, eave height, and the enclosure package.
Name headcount, meeting rooms, and the data and power the local electrician will pick up. A bare shell will not answer an occupied-office brief.
State floor design live load, door clearance, and whether the unit must be relocated later. Unoccupied storage is a different fire and insulation conversation.
Count beds, washrooms, and kitchen seats, then list camp utilities the buyer already has. Multi-unit layouts need a connection and a foundation interface.
Record occupancy, acoustic expectations, and the ramp or skirt the authority having jurisdiction may review. Do not copy a storage specification into a classroom file.
Write the project address or ZIP, the code edition the reviewer expects, wind speed, wind exposure category, ground snow load, and seismic design category. If the file already says 115 mph, exposure C, 30 psf ground snow, or seismic design category C, copy those characters. If any figure is unknown, mark it unknown so a supplier cannot invent a design basis.
Volumetric modular construction can move finished rooms, but road limits and the crane lift plan may rule it out. Panelized construction can pack tighter and then needs a longer site sequence. Foldable units need both the collapsed and open module dimensions.
A standardized unit is easier to compare when the buyer can live with published dimensions. A custom engineered system belongs in the file when clear span, unusual loads, or a local energy rule will not fit that catalog box.
Ask for drawings, a material list, and the calculation set that matches the quoted system. Delivery stage means plant gate, site dunnage, or set-and-stitched. Those stages are not one price. Thermal transmittance and fire-resistance rating are requested only when the use needs them.
When the use is clear, review inquiry categories or send the project requirements.
Tell the desk how the building will be used, what the site will not allow, and which scope label should be priced. Factory replies stay unconfirmed until they answer that sheet.
